Intermediate to Professional (Sorry not a learning session)


As it is a photo walk is about to feed my street photography passion so If we can go with some fellow photographers we can shoot all day and in the evening can share the experience. It is a free to move photo walk we can have small groups together.

Car pooling is a must (Car pool-ers will share the fuel)

The popular festival hosts traditional camel races, beauty contests and a Saluki race. Besides the races and competitions, the public will be treated with an exciting line-up of heritage and entertainment programmes including traditional games, Yolla, falconry and Emirati cuisine and traditional Majlis.

Adding to the experience, visitors can enjoy a traditional market, a heritage village and traditional activities every day in addition to a traditional souq and contests for handicrafts and horse riding. Furthermore, visitors can even expect prizes for attending the festival!

A heritage village set up at the racecourse will feature Rababa performers, pottery and souvenir exhibitions and performances by Bou Theib stables horsemen.

In addition, a fully-equipped media centre will be functional throughout the festival in Sweihan, to enable media persons cover and promote the festival and highlight the importance of the time-honoured camel sport and the role of UAE in supporting its cultural heritage.

Held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President’s Representative and Chairman of the Emirates Heritage Club (EHC), the H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan Camel Festival2015 is aimed to revive and safeguard the age-old tradition of camel sports that forms an integral part of the UAE’s rich heritage. The festival brings tremendous success in stimulating the economic activity around Sweihan, the city which plays a gracious host to thousands of camel sports enthusiasts from across the UAE amidst a festive atmosphere.
