STUNNING RAW BEAUTY - DRAMATIC & RUGGED LANDSCAPES
Perhaps best known as walking country, the Peak District National Park offers a spectacular variety of scenery to be explored – from steep sided limestone dales to the dramatic high moorlands. There is something for everyone!
Come join us !!! The Peak District is one of the UK's most popular walking destinations.
Its stunning, raw beauty, dramatic and rugged landscapes and natural charm along with picture postcard stone villages have resulted in the Peak District becoming the first designated National Park in the UK and also the second most visited National Park in the world.
Come and see two of it's great hikes in this diamond of gorgeous Britain!
We will be staying in a grand old country house on the south of Kinder Scout, one Located in the very centre of the famous network of Dark Peak mountains.
There will be a very capable hike leader on this weekend, both with navigational and leading experience and trained in outdoor first aid.
The choice of hikes will differ in distance and hardness to suit the group.
The short of the hikes will probably be around 10 miles / 16km and the long hike to be 17 miles / 27 km this will vary on the day depending on the conditions and group capability.
The Saturday walk will be 14-miles across moorland. We will hike onto Dark Peak. This is a flat peat-filled plateau with great views off the edges. It is covered in heather and strange wind-eroded rock formations.
On Friday we will arrive at our booked accommodation.
People tend to arrive between 2 pm and 10 pm with most arriving later in the evening. You are free to gather informally and go for a drink or meal after arrival if you wish.
- Breakfasts and pack lunches & dinner will be available from the accommodation provider.
If you have any special diet requirements please let us know in advance so that we can research your needs.
• Walking boots/shoes
• Waterproofs - Jacket and Trousers ( UK weather can be unpredictable)

Hiking boots are very strongly advisable for safety also waterproof trousers and warm clothes. It’s not advisable to come without a waterproof jacket. Jeans when wet are difficult to walk in and can cause soreness. Failure to be equipped adequately can result in discomfort and possibly accidents.
