Somewhere without stars, without daylight. A city, a massive city, built on the ruins of an even older city. The builders sleep in glass tombs in the heart of their creation. Some say when they awake the sun will rise, others claim we should join them in peaceful slumber in this eternal night. The rest of us? We just take it one day at a time. Start a new life. Cause, one thing we all agree on- we aren't going home.
Pull up a seat at the bar in the Fishbowl and see what trouble finds the regulars today.
This is a home brew sci-fi setting using the Fate Core rules.
Game Runner: Michael Thompson

Start Time: 10:30 AM - 1:45 PM (3 Hrs)
Player Count: 2-6 Players
Characters: Pre-generated characters provided
RPG Description: FATE is a storygame that evolved out of a traditional game called Fudge. You play as characters in a story you're crafting with the GM and other players. The system abstracts out some of the types of things you'd do a lot of different ways in other RPGs into 4 simple actions, and uses points called Fate Points. It uses funny dice, but with a guide to the system, you'll figure it out.

====10:30 AM - 3:45 PM (5 Hrs)====
RPG: Arcanis (D&D5e)
Scenario Name: Espionage
Scenario Description: When nations play games with one another, they are often played with the lives of their citizens. When such games involve Canceri, everyone involved usually loses. Now, a Milandisian agent is held captive in the necropolis city of Kielmun, under threat of execution. Do you think you can arrive in time?
Living Arcanis is an Organized Play campaign (you can take your character to other Living Arcanis games). I will have pre-gen characters. If you are interested, campaign information can be found at: http://www.paradigmcampaigns.com/DefaultLivA.aspx. You can use the campaign documents to build a character if you would prefer.
Game Runner: Robert Maxwell
Beginner Friendliness: GREEN: Folks new to tabletop RPGs are welcome ("What is tabletop role playing, again?")

Player Count: 4-7 Players
Characters: Pre-generated characters provided, You can make a character following campaign rules, and you might be able to make a character before we start.
RPG Description: Dungeons and Dragons is the original roleplaying game. It is a traditional roleplaying game set in a high fantasy medieval times. It is strongly focused on tactical combat based on character abilities, has light social interaction, scripted adventures, and typically uses miniatures. 5th edition is simpler than many prior versions and is generally considered approachable to new people. The 5th edition has many optional modes that incorporate elements from modern story games. RPG: Black Hack Old School Role-playing, with some house rules
Scenario Name: A Field Trip for the Girl's School of Warrior-Priestesses
Scenario Description: You're acolytes of a powerful cult, out of your citadel for the first time in years, practicing tracking & herbalism--when your chaperone is approached by a dangerous stranger with a mission to find & capture a feral child... This is a slightly grim high fantasy setting. I encourage humor &/or dark comedy in individual scenes, but the over-arching story is meant to remain serious & perhaps even morally ambiguous. I'm aiming for a tone between Buffy & the writings of Joe Abercrombie.
Game Runner: Kirk Dolin
Beginner Friendliness: GREEN: Folks new to tabletop RPGs are welcome ("What is tabletop role playing, again?"), BETA TESTERS: Only gamers who don't mind zany mechanics, gonzo antics, Byzantine rules, incomplete systems, or giving useful feedback are welcome ("Well all right, all right, all right: let's get weird, y'all.")
Start Time: 10:30 AM - 3:45 PM (5 Hrs)
Player Count: 2-5 Players
Characters: Character generated at the table
RPG Description: Ever played basic D&D? Ever read the basic D&D rulebooks from the 70s/80s? Clearly, that was a time people had time to read and (partially) understand complex rules. The Black Hack is the idea of that system, redone with very understandable, short rules. This blurb explaining how it's a traditional OSR RPG probably is like 1/2 the length of the maybe 20 page rulebook. If you like OSR games, you'll like this.
