Highest peak in CT at 2,316 feet (highest point is Mt Frissell at 2,380 feet)
Saturday, June 22nd, 6.5 miles round trip with vertical rise of 1,600 feet, Undermountain Trail to Paradise Lane Trail to the AT to summit then continue on AT and left onto Undermountain trail to trailhead parking lot. Moderately steep, well-maintained path to a mostly flat trail then on the AT, approximately 1/4 mile steep strenuous ascent rock scramble to the summit and a well deserved lunch break rewarded with great views.
Please bring your own food and water, for snacks and lunch, as well as bug spray and sunscreen as desired, also sturdy hiking boots and non-cotton clothing highly preferable and suggested.
Weather permitting – steady rain cancels and weather, slippery conditions will dictate the hike. Keep in mind, I do not have access to email via cell phone or daytime access, I will answer emails in the evening until 8pm the night before the hike.
