What we’re about

Black Girls Brunch consists of women professionals, entrepreneurs, executives, and leaders from both private and public sectors. Our mission is to be a liaison for women of color to empower themselves to find mentors who can help them start their business and know the pros and cons prior to launching, help small businesses navigate through the obstacles they are facing so they can elevate to the next level, collaborate business ventures in the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.  The intent is to create support from within and provide constructive assessment to help businesses strengthen their weak areas or team with others to bridge the gap. Serious members understand the true sense of networking and realize that it is not always what you know but who you know.  The expectation is that everyone is not only here to learn from each other but to also give back to those who need it.  Three ladies will have 5 minutes at each meeting to either promote their business, ask for specific help, or offer their services.  Once a quarter, there will be a face to face networking opportunity.
