SDARI Lecture: Jamy Ian Swiss "Skepticism 101"

Details

Jamy Ian Swiss "Skepticism 101"

A veteran activist for scientific skepticism, Jamy Ian Swiss offers a thorough and thoughtful guide to the nature of skepticism and the skeptic movement, and a consideration of the overlapping interests as well as the important distinctions between skepticism, humanism, and atheism -- three movements with related areas of interest, but whose precise missions are different, even while aligned. No matter whether you support one or all of these movements, this talk will help clarify what it means to be a skeptic, and the importance of the skeptic movement.

The Sunday Lecture series is presented by SDARI, (https://www.meetup.com/San-Diego-Assoc-for-Rational-Inquiry/events/233973543/?) a local non-profit dedicated to scientific skepticism.
