Express is still alive and kicking (http://blog.javascriptstack.net/2016/06/18/030000) y'all! As such, I am very excited to have as our next guest speaker, web developer and author, Evan Hahn (https://twitter.com/evanhahn)! Evan will present some material over ExpressJs, based on his newly published book, Express in Action (https://www.manning.com/books/express-in-action). Furthermore, I will have a couple of copies of the book to give out as door prizes, and yes, Evan will sign them for us! :-)

Bio:

Evan has been a web developer for nearly a decade now, starting on his high school’s scrappy online newspaper and working his way up to making silly websites that serve no purpose. He's the author of JavaScript Testing with Jasmine (http://shop.oreilly.com/product/0636920028277.do) and Express in Action (https://www.manning.com/books/express-in-action), two books that cement him as a confident (if not qualified) JavaScript developer. He's currently a developer at Braintree (https://www.braintreepayments.com/), where he works on the JavaScript library that helps companies like Airbnb accept payments. He's excited (and nervous) to speak at this meetup! Let's all make sure to give him a warm welcome when he gets here!

You can follow Evan at @evanhahn (https://twitter.com/evanhahn)

Evan is also the creator of Helmet (https://github.com/helmetjs), a suite of Express middleware that help with securing Express applications. Helmet is listed in the official Express website's advanced topics section (http://expressjs.com/en/advanced/best-practice-security.html#use-helmet).
