Description: In this talk, Jayaprabhakar will go over the trend on programming on the edge and the optimizations possible to build a great user experience.
Bio: Jayaprabhakar Kadarkarai is the developer of Codiva.io, an Online IDE used by computer science students across the world. He works full stack to deliver low latency and scalable web applications.
Main Talk: Serverless Python on the Google Cloud
Description: Google has just launched two new Python 3.7 runtimes for Cloud Functions and App Engine. In this talk, learn about these new runtimes, including the key differences between previous App Engine environments, what we can use Cloud Functions for, and all the nice new features we get with the new Python 3.7 runtimes.
Bio: Dustin Ingram is a Senior Developer Advocate at Google, focused on supporting the Python community on the Google Cloud Platform. He's also a member of the Python Packaging Authority, a maintainer of the Python Package Index, and a contributor to various packaging tools including pip, twine, setuptools, and more. Prior to joining Google, he spent many years as a software consultant, working with everything from small startups to large enterprise companies.
