AWE Nite Vancouver is back for 2019.
This time around, we’re cooking up a smorgasbord of discussion, debate and demoes - centred around THE MOBILE AR REVOLUTION.
Mobile AR is set to take the world by storm - install base surpassed 1 billion devices last year and is on track to hit 3.5 billion by 2022. Our phone cameras are getting smarter at recognizing and mapping our surroundings. This capability is giving rise to new, incredible ways we are interacting with the world around us, each other and our devices.
Grace us with your presence and discover more about how mobile AR is turning our physical world into a new computer interface, and who’s on the forefront of this technology right here in Van City. Those in the know as well as those simply curious to learn more are encouraged to join - diversity of thought is essential to our discussion.
As ever, these bi-monthly events aim to support and nurture the growing Augmented Reality industry in Vancouver - an evening in which we gather inquisitive minds, great ideas and productive conversations.
5.30pm - Grab a tag, write your name on it and slap it somewhere on your body (waist up, please). You're officially in. Now find the nearest slice of pizza, bottle of beer and get mingling.

6.45PM - UNCONFERENCE - Come ready with your best chat. This is a discussion format that’s somewhere between a panel and a roundtable. Ultimately it invites every one of you into the conversation to drive its direction. This is your chance to not only hear from our sitting experts but also share your own opinions, experiences and crippling fears when it comes to mobile AR.
7.30PM - ROUND-UP AND NETWORKING - A little bit more from the AWE Nite Vancouver team to tell you more about upcoming events. Then it's your chance to get up close and personal with the demos.
8.00PM - GOODBYE AND GET OUT - Just kidding, you can leave fairly leisurely - but however you end up leaving, we hope you depart with new knowledge, inspiration and contacts (maybe even friends?).
Looking forward to seeing everyone!
