One of the main challenges today when building infrastructure are predictability, scalability and automated recovery. You can achieve the desired predictability by relying on the immutable infrastructure concept in which your infrastructure is comprised of immutable components that are replaced for every deployment, rather than being updated and modified in place.
One of the principles of Docker containers is that an image is immutable — once built, it’s unchangeable, and if you want to make changes, you’ll get a new image as a result. Docker comes with many built-in utilities to help you manage container images.
Nikolay Bunev from HeleCloud will showcase their approach of building and distributing secured Docker images by utilising the AWS CI/CD toolset.
