So you built the backend applications or managed the infrastructure on-prem of your organisation and are now promoted to manage the cloud migration and cloud application roadmap as a cloud engineer. Congratulations! Before you get worried on how you would deliver it would help to have someone talk you through the journey. This talk will go through the skills a cloud engineer would do best investing time developing on, along with some battle hardened-advice from the ground.

What are the challenges and changes required to scale the cloud. Just moving to the cloud is not enough, it takes engineering capabilities, automation and many such complex processes and techniques to actually use the full potential of the cloud. We'll explore what multiple production workloads with tens of AWS accounts looks like.

He is based in the United Arab Emirates and educates and empowers developers on achieving cloud capabilities, allowing them to concentrate on interesting problems while AWS handles the heavy lifting. An architect and a technical evangelist at heart, he speaks on various trends in the technology space with the focus of building and scaling in the cloud in and around Asia. He has designed and built products for over 16 years in the enterprise and SME space, along with building engineering teams and helping them scale.
