AWS Beirut UG Meetup #8: Amplify + React Workshop

The last meetup of the year will start with a review of 2019 meetups and the plan for more AWSome meetups and workshops in 2020. We will then enjoy a fun workshop conducted by Rakan Nimer.

In this workshop, we'll learn how to build cloud-enabled web applications with React & AWS Amplify. By the end of the workshop, you will have built a data-driven web app that lets users upload AI-tagged photos to secure photo galleries. We will use AWS Amplify and AppSync to create a secure, infinitely scalable GraphQL API that stores our data in DynamoDB and Amazon Cognito to authenticate users and protect our data. Finally, we will add AI-powered object tagging using Amazon Rekognition, allowing users to discover photos without any manual data entry.
