Say hello to Alexa!
Alexa is coming, and in this meeting we will talk to Alexa, and see how new skills can be developed. By using The Alexa Skills Kit and AWS as a backend you can be building skills quickly. In this presentation we will take a look at how it all fits together, and see some live demos.
Alexa is the voice service that powers Amazon Echo, provides capabilities, or skills, that enable customers to interact with devices in a more intuitive way using voice. Examples of skills include the ability to play music, answer general questions, set an alarm or timer, and more.
The Alexa Skills kit is a collection of self-service APIs, tools, documentation and code samples that make it fast and easy for you to add skills to Alexa.
(Anders Bjørnestad from Webstep will introduce us to Alexa)
After-meetup-beer
Some of us will meet for a beer (at Bjørungs) after the meetup to chat about "all things tech". Everyone is invited to join!
PS: If you have suggestions for a topic, or want to present something, please let us know via a comment/message here, or you can also contact Anton directly on anton@antonbabenko.com
