I have a wide range of interests and tools. Group members have done woodworking, metalworking, stained-glass, electronics, painting, and collage art. I welcome new and interesting projects!
The woodworking area is very well equipped: a SawStop cabinet saw, a second table saw dedicated to dadoes and rabbets, an 8” jointer, a 15” planer, a 17” bandsaw, a 6”x 108” oscillating edge sander, a geared-head drill press, a router table, a small lathe, a 12” compound sliding miter saw, a 20” scroll saw, and a good assortment of powered hand tools and clamps. I don’t have too many traditional hand tools or experience with their use, but it’s something I’d like to learn more about.
The metalworking area is pretty well equipped: a 12” x 36” geared-head lathe, a wire-feed welder, a plasma cutter, a 30” x 60” welding/fixture table, a swivel-head bandsaw, a combination belt/disc sander/grinder, and an assortment of powered hand tools. Eventually I’ll expand the metalworking area further—milling machine, TIG welder, vertical bandsaw, bending brake, etc.
I have a 10” sliding tile saw that can be used to cut into interesting stones. And I have some experience with concrete. It’d be fun to make some furniture that incorporates concrete or stone.
