Making Social Media Accessible

Details
Social media is a vital form of how many of us interact with each other socially. It’s also the primary way our business communicates with clients to educate, inform and promote our goods and services. But social media can be barely, or entirely, inaccessible to users who live with disabilities.
In the first ATC MeetUp of the new year, prep your team to include everyone in your social media outreach by attending this event.
SPEAKERS:
The evening will be led by ATC MeetUp member, Lynn Wehrman, founder/president of WeCo Accessibility Services, a company made of up digital technologists who live with disabilities. Lynn heads WeCo’s Public Relations Team and manages their social media efforts. (Lynn's LinkedIn Profile: https://www.linkedin.com/in/lynn-wehrman-478ab22b/)
Guest Speaker, Sarah Emerson, Marketing Manager for the Brave New Workshop, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, will share her experiences in accessible social media promotion for an arts and entertainment organization. Having spent her life working in the entertainment industry, Sarah is familiar with the challenges arts organizations and theaters face when making their work accessible to all audiences. As a believer in the power of a “yes, and…” attitude, she is leading the nation’s longest running satirical comedy theatre on its journey toward accessibility.
