Descanso Gardens Flower and Macro Photography Meetup

• What we'll do
This will be a fun opportunity to meet and shoot with other photographers. This meetup is open to all levels of photographers. Some instruction will be provided to beginning and intermediate photographers. The meetup is free but you will have to pay $9.00 admission to get into Descanso Gardens.

Blooming in January: Camellias, cherry trees and winter annuals.
Did you know that Descanso is home to North Americas largest camellia collection? The Japanese Garden is a favorite and always fun to photograph. Take time to sip some tea while there.

• What to bring:

Many of you may only have a camera, memory card and a charged camera battery and that's fine. If you have any of these other items it would be helpful for you to bring them. Your camera.

Spare memory card.

Charged camera batteries

Macro or close focusing lens.

Close focus accessories including extension tubes, close up filters.

Tripod and tripod head

Your cameras instruction manual PDF is even better.

Hand held diffuser

Remote release

Flash (we won't have time really explain flash use, but if you know how to use it, it can be very useful for macro).

A bottle of drinking water

Sunscreen

• We will meet on the patio of the Japanese Tea House. From the front entrance follow the road to the left. It will be on the left side of the road. It is only a few minute walk from the entrance. You can't miss it, it has a blue tile roof.
