Frankweiler" and then when you're done reading, join us at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, aka the Met. After we finish touring the museum and finding all the spots mentioned in the book, those who want can stroll over to a nearby eatery (sadly, automats are long gone!) to continue discussing the book.

THE ACTIVITY: A visit to the Metropolitan Museum of Art

We'll meet to explore the Met together while we casually discuss the book. We'll have a custom itinerary to follow, especially designed just for this event by one of our members and this event's coordinator, Sho! However, this is NOT a guided tour of the museum. Rather, it is just a bunch of book-loving new friends gathering to stroll the halls and share our thoughts on the book at the same time!

Admission is $22, payable to the Museum at the door.

According to Wikipedia: The Metropolitan Museum of Art of New York City, colloquially "the Met",[a] is the largest art museum in the United States. With 6,953,927 visitors to its three locations in 2018, it was the third most visited art museum in the world.Its permanent collection contains over two million works,divided among seventeen curatorial departments. The main building, on the eastern edge of Central Park along Museum Mile in Manhattan's Upper East Side is by area one of the world's largest art galleries.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art was founded on April 13, 1870, "to be located in the City of New York, for the purpose of establishing and maintaining in said city a Museum and library of art, of encouraging and developing the study of the fine arts, and the application of arts to manufacture and practical life, of advancing the general knowledge of kindred subjects, and, to that end, of furnishing popular instruction."
