What we’re about
Addison Exiles is a friendly and sociable badminton club based in Acton and Hanwell, West London.
Club nights run from 8pm - 10pm across 3 to 4 courts on Wednesdays venue (reduced if there is a home match) and 2 courts on Mondays.
We compete in local leagues with mens, mixed and ladies teams. Established in 1977, we are fully affiliated to Badminton England and hold Premier Club “Clubmark” accreditation. We only play with quality feather shuttlecocks on both club nights.
Strong club standard players are always welcome for our various teams. Unfortunately, we are unable to take beginners or improvers but experienced players who are fit and enthusiastic are always welcome.
Our main club night (by invitation only) is on a Wednesday at Twyford School in Acton. Our other session is Elthorne sport Centre, Westlea Rd in Hanwell on a Monday night where guests (adults and stronger juniors) play. We also have a juniors only (U19) session on Friday evenings. Please contact Marion, our junior coordinator, for more details.
There is a yearly club membership fee which offers a significant discount for all sessions and allows members to participate in league matches. This fee includes club level membership with Badminton England and any applicable county fees. A discount is available for students and juniors for normal club sessions.
The standard fees per night are currently:
• Adults: £7 club members / £10 guests
• Students: £4 club members / £7 guests
• Juniors: £2 club members / £4 guests
