XR Industry shakeups; WebXR, Quest2 Passthrough (AR), & VR Training in Business

Yes they are kicking off again! It has been too long, and it is time to revitalise and reinvent the Adelaide VR/AR Meetups. This time with an ongoing shift towards industry and business.

Entry is Free, although numbers are limited. COVID regulations on the day will apply.

For this event we are focusing on three (3) recent advancements we think will most impact the immediate, and broader business environment:

1. WebXR (VR/AR delivered to browsers)
2. Quest2 Passthrough (AR)
3. Downloadable skills: how VR will change on the job training.

Local company ‘Lateral Vision’ will demonstrate what can be delivered in the browser by using web-based technologies for VR and AR. (https://lateralvision.com.au/)

Daish from Add-Life Technologies will then take us through the new Quest2 Passthrough API, and why this provides the VR industry a lower barrier to entry and wider industry use. (http://www.add-lifetech.com)

Jonathan Kovarch will then take us through how access to VR training will be coming to your business.

We will also update you on latest technology news and events.

Some of the best South Australian VR/AR developers will be there, so get networking and learning.

Also if you are a developer, and want to demonstrate something, let us know and we will see if we can fit you in. Alternatively just come along and show your content. If you own a VR device and would like to show other people a new project, please bring it along!
