Boundless Adventures Zipline and Aerial Park
Join us for outdoor aerial adventures at Boundless Adventures in Berlin on July 21 at 11:45 am. Here's what you need to know: * Boundless Adventures is "the ultimate aerial adventure park!" It offers nine courses that include over 90 rope bridges, 16 ziplines and three leaps of faith. And if you want to see what it's like to "be boundless," here's a great YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=1&v=Flq2QmqPHp0 * If you're like me and have never ziplined or been on a ropes course, no worries. Boundless Adventures has courses across four difficulty levels: Exploration (beginner), Motivation (intermediate), Strength (advanced) and Conqueror (expert). * A day pass for Boundless Adventures costs $55; or, if you're a college student, the price is $45. Each day pass entitles you to three hours of ziplining/courses and an additional 30 minutes for orientation. * If you're interested in this Meetup, here's what I'm thinking: each of us can book a reservation online for the noon slot on July 21, with all of us meeting up at 11:45 am. We can then explore the different courses until our day pass time runs out at 3 pm. * If people want to grab food after Boundless Adventures, let me know. I can do some research and offer food recommendations. * Meetup registration for this event has begun, and I'll keep it open until July 14 at noon. At that point, I'd recommend buying your day pass and reserving your spot online here: https://boundlessadventures.net/ma-park/general-admission/. As always, please keep me posted with any concerns or questions. Thanks, and hope to see you at Boundless Adventures on July 21!
Wednesday night trivia at Greater Good Imperial Brewing Company in Worcester on July 24 at 7:00 p.m. is a go! Here's what you need to know: * Greater Good hosts Gametime Trivia every Wednesday at 7:30 p.m., and the top trivia teams win brewery gift cards. * In addition to Wednesday night trivia, Greater Good offers exceptional beer, along with the TOAST: Test Kitchen restaurant that serves grilled cheeses, pretzels and other delicious foods. The brewery also offers root beer floats, classic arcade games and giant Jenga and Connect 4. * I say we meet at the brewery at 7:00 p.m. for trivia. That way, we can meet up, get settled and rock trivia night like no other Meetup group. * I've set up the Meetup for up to eight attendees. If you want to attend, click the check mark at the top of the page. Please keep me posted with any concerns or questions. Otherwise, hope to see you at trivia at Greater Good on July 24.
Join us for Sunset Sips at Stone Zoo in Stoneham on July 27 at 5:45 pm. Here's what you need to know: * Sunset Sips is a summertime celebration that features Caribbean flamingos, bush dogs, North American river otters, black bears and other animals and birds. It also includes music, a cash bar and food available for purchase. If you want to get a better idea about what Sunset Sips is all about, watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=75&v=N3iBNk7kk00 * Tickets for Sunset Sips cost $25 and are available here: https://www.zoonewengland.org/engage/sunset-sips/. * Sunset Sips is an after-hours event at Stone Zoo, and it runs from 6 pm to 8 pm. I've set up the Meetup event start time for 5:45 pm so we can meet up before the event. As always, please keep me posted with any concerns or questions. Thanks, and hope to see you at Sunset Sips on July 27.
Kayaking at Spot Pond in Stoneham is a go on August 4 at 10 am. Here's what you need to know: * Spot Pond Reservoir offers single kayak rentals for $16 per hour or double kayak rentals for $22 per hour. Each rental includes a life vest and anything else you need to enjoy kayaking. In addition, full details about Spot Pond are available here: https://boatinginboston.com/boathouses/spot-pond/ * I'm setting up the Meetup to start at 10 am. I say we rent our kayaks and explore Spot Pond for a few hours. Spot Pond has three islands, so we can always paddle out to them, too. * If people are interested, we can find a restaurant nearby to eat after kayaking. Or, Spot Pond has picnic areas, so we can bring food with us and do a picnic after kayaking. * You'll need to fill out a float plan agreement (safety waiver) before you can kayak. The form is available online and can be printed out here: https://boatinginboston.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/18/2017/02/float-plan.pdf. * This Meetup is weather-permitting; I'll check the weather forecast in the days leading up to the event, and if it looks like it'll be nasty outside, I'll try to reschedule it. As always, if you have any concerns or questions, let me know. Otherwise, hope to see you at Spot Pond for kayaking on August 4.
