What we're about

Welcome to the Kern County Library "Adulting Made Easy" Meetups. Our #1 goal is to build community and cultivate opportunities for Kern County residents, by connecting people, ideas, information, and technology. We’re more than a place to find beautiful classic and newly released hardcover or softcover books. We are a place where everyone is welcome to start or continue their journey of endless possibilities. Join us as we explore Classic and International Films, Gardening, Trivia, Bingo, and Relaxing Coloring. Our adult groups range from Intellectual Discussions to stimulating Scavenger Hunts. Our Meetups aim to be innovative and bring together a unique group of individuals for an hour of memorable Adulting Fun.

Thank you for your interest. We hope to see you soon!

Women On Values

Online event

Giving Voice to Values: The ‘How’ of Values Driven Leadership discusses the innovative approach to values-driven leadership development in business education and the workplace, pioneered by Dr. Mary Gentile, Professor of Practice, UVA Darden School of Business. Drawing on actual experience and scholarship, it fills a long-standing critical gap in the development of values-centered leaders. It is not about persuading people to be more ethical. Rather, it starts from the premise that most of us already want to act on our values, but that we also want to feel that we have a reasonable chance of doing so effectively and successfully.
