Light Up The Night (Waterfalls Edition!) - Tenovus Cancer Care Event

Details
THIS IS A FUNDRAISING EVENT FOR TENOVUS CANCER CARE - FULL DETAILS OF THIS CHARITIES AIMS CAN BE FOUND AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS POST.
NO NEED TO FUNDRAISE (although you can if you wish to) AS THE FEE FOR THIS EVENT GOES TO TENOVUS (less event delivery costs).
This is a special event! We'll be meeting in the dark! By head torch or hand torch or fairy lights make our way from Clyngwyn through the woods, past Clyngwyn waterfall and along to Sgwd yr Eira, Snow Falls, where we will light up the back of the waterfall for some spectacular photography.
All attending are encouraged to bring along as much lighting as possible and we will be bringing some very bright photographic studio lighting as well as a good few head torches which will work with white, red, blue and green hues.
Let's raise some cash for this great local cancer charity and have a wonderful night out in the waterfalls area of the Brecon Beacons National Park with amazing opportunities for photography and to make some new friends too.
Waterproofs and walking or good wellie boots and snacks and a hot drink are all a very good idea :)
The walk includes one steep downhill, which we have to reverse, but this walk is for fun and so will be gently paced and available to most levels of fitness.
Tenovus Cancer Care our aims are simple. We want to help prevent, treat and find a cure for cancer.
https://tenovuscancercare.org.uk
We do this by offering support, advice and treatment to cancer patients and their loved ones. We also promote healthy lifestyles and fund cancer research to find new ways to prevent it, diagnose it, and treat it.
We do this where it is needed most - right at the heart of the community.
Our vision:
Tenovus Cancer Care’s vision is a future where fewer people get cancer, and those that do have equal access to the best treatment and support.
Our mission:
To bring practical advice, emotional support and treatment to where it matters most; the heart of the community. We help people with cancer and their loved ones cope, and through our vital research, we offer hope.
Our purpose:
To work towards a world where no one dies of cancer.
Our aims:
To deliver this vision, we have agreed a set of 4 strategic aims for the organisation for the next five years. They are:
aim 1 To provide support and treatment to people with cancer and their loved ones, closer to home in unique ways.
aim 2 To represent the needs of people with cancer and their loved ones.
aim 3 To conduct and fund research to improve cancer outcomes and experiences.
aim 4 To work with communities to develop healthy lifestyle programmes raising awareness of how to prevent cancer.
