Ski/Snowboard at Windham Mountain ***Discounted Ski Passes***

  • Jan 5, 2014 · 9:15 AM
  • This location is shown only to members

Windham Mountain is located just over two hours from the New York Metro area. Let's face it - the slopes are not as good as in Vermont, but less time in the car means more time on the will be a good warm up for our upcoming Stowe trip on January 10.

Windham has 46 trails and 9 lifts, including two high-speed detachable quads, one from the bottom to top of each peak. The highest peak is situated at 3,100 feet (940 m) with a vertical rise of 1,600 feet (490 m) from the base. Snowmaking covers 98% of the trail area of 265 acres (1.1 km2).

Lift Tickets:

Purchase your discounted tickets from Potter Brothers using the link:

The price of the lift ticket is $43.95, and you can purchase it until 48 hours before the event.

To avoid shipping charges - select pickup at the Kingston store. During the checkout, use the comment field to note that you will pickup the ticket at Potter Brother's Kingston store.

The store will hold your ski tickets for you, and you can just swing by and pick them up on the day of the trip.

The Kingston store is located at 57 City View Terrace, Kingston, NY 12401 (on the way from NYC to Windham Mountain). The store opens at 8am (probably a few mins before 8AM) and is about an hour away from the Windham mountain.

We will carpool.

When you RSVP please indicate if you need or can offer a ride.

If we do not have enough drivers, we can either rent a car and split the cost or for $50 per person hitch a ride with Urban Sherpa - a bus operator running bus tours from the city to local ski resorts.

Participation in activities is strictly voluntary and group members assume all risks in connection with activities; per's Terms of Service Agreements, organizers and hike/trip leaders are released from any and all forms of liability related to events.Full text of our liability waiver can be found on the following page:

Hey guys-- I'd still really like to go on Sunday, but what's the carpool situation?

Jesse - so far there is only one car available, and it's already full. John Duncan mentioned he may rent a car...another option is getting on the bus - see the post bellow.

I will rent a zipcar if I can get 4 or 5. I have two already.

I'm renting a zipcar and driving, if I can get four. If I can fill with five, I'll get an SUV. Let me know. Will probably go from Wall Street.

Guys, it looks like we won't have any more drivers for this trip...If anyone is interested in the Paragon Sports option, please contact me at: [masked]
I may be able to book tickets for you and save you a few more bux - but please let me know by noon-ish on Thursday.

If you plan on ordering lift tickets through Potter Brothers - please do so by Friday morning - it takes them about a day to process and distribute tickets to stores.

Guys, since it looks like we do not have a lot of drivers right now - I want to make you aware of another option. Paragon Sports started organizing trips to Windham ski resort. For January 5th, they offer a package that includes round trip transportation from Union Square (18th street and Broadway), light breakfast on the bus (prob just a bagel/croissant), and a lift ticket for $84. Yu can find out more details and book your ticket at the link bellow:
