This is a group for kids diagnosed on the autism spectrum (and their parents) to participate in outdoor activities. It's a chance for everyone to get some fresh air, exercise, and meet with their peers. A typical meetup is a short walk through the woods, exploring a stream, or other activity outside.
As parents with special needs children, we know how difficult it can be for our kids to find others with whom they can relate. This group is an opportunity that may hopefully lay the groundwork for friendships, for children and adults.
Meetup activities will include light to moderate levels of physical mobility on unpaved surfaces. Let us know if this poses difficulty for anyone or any other necessary accommodations. We will likely be able to tailor the events to include everyone.
