• Highland Creek to East Point trail hike

    Needs a location

    Join us for this guided walk on paved trails through Highland Creek Park in Scarborough. We will enjoy views of the lake and the trails along the small river at Col Danforth and try to reach Port Union Park depending on the group's pace. We will go at a moderate pace and take small breaks during the hike.

    DIFFICULTY LEVEL: Beginner – All walking/hiking levels welcome!

    TOTAL HIKING TIME: 2 hours hiking depending on overall group pace.
    WHAT TO BRING: Water (at least 1.5 L), snacks, appropriate clothing and footwear, headlight, hat, camera, cellphone, mask, cash for personal expenses, enthusiasm.

    WEATHER POLICY: In the event of harsh weather, this hike will be cancelled. The hike leader will monitor the weather forecast and notify all registered members at least 2 hours in advance to confirm or cancel the event.

    Travel to Highland Creek Park parking lot by car or public transit and meet our group there NO LATER than 5:50 PM. The hike will start promptly at 6:00 PM

  • ⛵🌳🌞 URBAN HIKE: Tommy Thompson Park (10 Km): Sun, Jul 3

    Join us for a scenic URBAN HIKE at this charming waterfront park to enjoy some amazing views of Lake Ontario, the Toronto skyline, swans, Canadian geese, ducks and other wild animals.
    All walking/ hiking levels welcome. We will take breaks along the way for beverages and/or washroom needs. Length: 10 Km.

    • DIFFICULTY LEVEL: Beginner – All walking/hiking levels welcome!
    • TOTAL HIKING TIME: approx. 4 hours, depending on overall group pace.
    • WHAT TO BRING: Water (at least 1.5 L), lunch, snacks, appropriate clothing and footwear, hat, camera, cellphone, cash for personal expenses and/or TTC ride.

    ⭐️ IMPORTANT ⭐️

    • Wear long pants. We will follow a nature trail, and some sections of it are quite narrow, so we will have to walk near grass or weeds on the sides of the trail.

    • POST-EVENT: TBD.

    I'm coordinating a group camping for 18 people on Aug12 to 14 at Bass Lake Provincial Park. The cost will be $25pp for the 2 nights.
