• 🌞🌳 Humber River Walk (11 Km) - Sun, May 22

    Let's take a scenic walking tour of the Humber River, one of Toronto's natural and historic treasures. The Humber was designated a Canadian Heritage River in 1999. A plaque commemorating this event is located in Brule Park.
    More than 25 fish species inhabit this part of the river, and the area is home to many species of birds and other wildlife. Our walk begins at Kingsmill Park, located within walking distance from Old Mill Subway station. Length: 11 Km

    • DIFFICULTY LEVEL: Beginner – All walking/hiking levels welcome!
    • WHAT TO BRING: Water (at least 1 L), lunch, snacks, appropriate clothing and footwear, hat, camera, cellphone, cash for personal expenses and/or TTC ride.
    • POST-EVENT: Refreshments at a casual pub in Bloor West Village. OPTIONAL (around 5:00 PM)
    • WEATHER POLICY: In the event of harsh weather, this walk will be cancelled. The hike leader will monitor the weather forecast and notify all registered members at least 24 hours in advance to confirm or cancel the event.
    • TOTAL HIKING TIME: 3-4 hours hiking including lunch and stops, depending on overall group pace.

    Travel to Etienne Brulé Park by car or public transit and meet our group there NO LATER than 1:00 PM. The hike will start promptly at 1:15 PM

  • Highland Creek to Port Union trail hike

    Needs a location

    Join us for this guided walk on paved trails through Highland Creek Park in Scarborough. We will enjoy views of the lake and the trails along the small river at Col Danforth and try to reach Port Union Park depending on the group's pace. We will go at a moderate pace and take small breaks during the hike.

    DIFFICULTY LEVEL: Beginner – All walking/hiking levels welcome!

    TOTAL HIKING TIME: 2 hours hiking depending on overall group pace.
    WHAT TO BRING: Water (at least 1.5 L), snacks, appropriate clothing and footwear, headlight, hat, camera, cellphone, mask, cash for personal expenses, enthusiasm.
    POST-EVENT: TBD

  • The Guild lake side hike

    Join us for this guided walk on the trails through Guild Park along Scarborough to Lake Ontario and then along the bluffs and shores of Lake Ontario to Doris McCarthy Trail/Gates Gully. We will enjoy stunning views of the lake. We will go at a moderate pace and take small breaks during the hike.

    DIFFICULTY LEVEL: Intermediate – All walking/hiking levels welcome!

    TOTAL HIKING TIME: 2 hours hiking depending on overall group pace.

    Join us for this picnic and guided walk on the trails through Woodbine Beach Park along the shores of Lake Ontario to RC Treatment Plant. We will enjoy stunning views of the lake. We will go at a moderate pace and take small breaks during the hike.

    We are starting with a pinic at 3:00pm and hike starts at 5:30pm.
    Please bring your own food, we don't need to share as people aren't comfortable with this yet.

  • ⛵🌳🦆 TORONTO ISLANDS Walk (8 Km): Sun, June 5

    Needs a location

    Join us for this scenic adventure, as we tour the Toronto Islands on a Spring day, and enjoy some amazing views of Lake Ontario, the Toronto skyline, swans, Canadian geese, ducks and other wild animals.
    There are a few public washrooms and shops to buy snacks or beverages on the islands.
    All walking/ hiking levels welcome. We will take breaks along the way for beverages and/or washroom needs. Length: 8 Km.

    • DIFFICULTY LEVEL:

    Beginner -- all levels welcome!

    • WHAT TO BRING: Water (at least 1 L), hiking shoes/ boots and cash for ferry ticket and personal purchases.
    • POST-EVENT: Refreshments at a popular pub near the Ferry Terminal in Toronto. OPTIONAL (around 3:00 PM)

    • By TTC: From Union Station, take the streetcar or the Bay St. Bus #6 southbound to the stop at Bay St and Queen's Quay, or you can walk from Union Station to the Toronto Ferry Docks at the foot of Bay St and Queen's Quay.
