We are going to enjoy a lazy afternoon together tubing down the French Broad River in Asheville, North Carolina. This is SO much fun. We will finish the day out by grabbing food at a local restaurant. We will meet at the Grace Fellowship Church parking lot at 10:00 a.m. to carpool. With a group rate, the cost is $20 per ticket. I will need your ticket money up front to secure this reservation. I have to pay in a lump sum for our group. I need payment by July 7.
Located in the congressionally designated Pond Mountain Wilderness, Laurel Falls is a popular destination for hikers due to its immense size (40’ high & 50’ wide) and picturesque setting. The hike to the falls can be challenging and requires good footwear and physical ability. It is a 2.6 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Hampton, Tennessee that features a waterfall and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, running, and camping and is best used from May until December. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash. Feel free to pack a lunch to carry with you.
We are going to carpool since the parking is limited at the trailhead. Once you pull into Grace Fellowship Church, go to the top of the hill and bear right. We will meet on the right side of the building. We can leave our vehicles there.
