READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE YOU RSVP!

RSVP's open on September 27! Attendee total at this point will be limited to 18 people.

Our trip starts on Friday, October 25. We'll meet somewhere in the Triangle, setup carpools then drive 5 hours to our campsite at Cosby Campground. Once we arrive at our campsite in the afternoon, we'll setup our tents and do a short hike to some waterfalls in the area.

Saturday: We'll begin our 6 mile hike (12 miles total) to the summit of Mt. Cammerer in the morning. The trail is rated strenuous with an elevation gain of about 3,045ft. We will have lunch at the summit near the fire tower. Afterwards, we'll enjoy a campfire at the campground.

Sunday: We'll pack up at camp and either hike to some waterfalls or Mt. Sterling. We can decide at camp. Mt. Sterling is a 1.5 mile one way (3 mile out and back) strenuous hike. On our way home, we'll stop by for a bite to eat.

Important things to know:
-Campground has drinking water, flush toilets and utility sinks
-Bring a Daypack, Hiking boots/shoes with good support, and hiking poles (optional)
-Bring your own camping gear, I.e. tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, etc.
-Tents larger than a 3 person tent will need to be approved due to limited campsite space
-Bring enough food for the weekend: Breakfast, lunch, dinner, trail snacks, water, beverages.
-Bring layers including jacket, gloves, hat! It will probably be cold
-Bring money for campsite and firewood ($5-10 per person for shareable costs) PLUS money to share carpooling costs with your driver
