*NOTE: THIS CLUB IS FOR DACHSHUNDS AND SMALL DACHSHUND MIXES ONLY*
Welcome to the Washington Chapter of the Adventurewier Club (TM) brought to you by Jessica, Summit, and Gretel at http://www.YouDidWhatWithYourWeiner.com
This is where adventurous weiner dogs come to have fun and their parents come to exercise with their dog, make new friends and have a good time.
Events include group walks, hikes, play dates, other adventures and meetups related to fitness and weight management of your Dachshund.
Please join the Club's Facebook group so we can stay in touch between meetups and connect with other members for impromptu events https://www.facebook.com/groups/485987141489241/
Upcoming events (4+)
See all- Reactive Doxie Workshop ($5 fee or free to VIP club members)Green Lake Small Craft Center, Seattle, WA
This event requires a $5 paid in advance to hold your spot EXCEPT for VIP club members (message the club organizer through Meetup or Facebook to pay). You can learn more about becoming a VIP member HERE. VIPs will also be bumped into the event from the waiting list even if it's full.
NOTE: BECAUSE YOU WILL BE ACTIVELY TRAINING DURING THIS EVENT, ONLY ONE DOG IS ALLOWED PER PERSON.
It can be embarrassing and frustrating if you have a reactive Dachshund. You think that this time it will be different. As you start to pass the other dog, yours starts barking and lunging at the end of the leash. Flustered, you mutter a "sorry" as you shout at your dog to stop and try to drag them by. It doesn't have to be that way though.
Let's meet at Greenlake Park to work on your Dachshund's reactivity issues. We'll discuss why this happens, how to reduce your dog's reaction through management, and well practice some exercises that can help prevent outbursts in the future.
About Jessica: When I adopted my Dachshund Gretel, she was extremely reactive and on Prozac she was so anxious. She taught me so much about dog behavior and reactivity. I've been dog sitting Dachshunds for 10 years, so I've had a lot of experience walking dogs various levels of reactivity.
- APR Puyallup Dachshund WalkBradley Lake Park, Puyallup, WA
Let's get together for a little socialization and walking around Bradley Lake Park. We'll meet at the entrance sign in the open grassy area to right of the baseball fields.
The 0.9 mile circular path around the lake is paved and there are restrooms at the park.
If the main parking lot is full, there is an overflow parking across the street and street parking available.

Let's test out a new indoor play space and have a mini party. There will be at least one "photo booth" set up where you can take cute photos of your doxie.
