When signing up for the block of time the cost averages out to be $16/per.
If you just want a feel for what these classes are like, a drop in fee is $20.00. This structure is suited more for an experienced drummer.
Within a usual class session, Quint will teach a specific rhythm which will include djembe, djun djun and bell parts. He always reviews.
If you are new to the W African drum experience, Quint will offer a 6:30 - 7:30pm basic technique class, before the regular class begins. There is no extra fee. If you would request a followup, there would be an additional$10.00 fee.
If you'll need to borrow a drum during class, please include that in your reply.
These classes happen throughout the year on Thursday evenings, generally in 6 class sessions. Due to scheduling conflicts from time to time, there could be a 4 or 5 class session instead.
There are usually anywhere from 8-14 participants in a class. The levels of experience vary. The majority of those attending come from networks other than the Meetup group. We look forward to drumming with you and we ALWAYS HAVE FUN!
