What we're about

We are Djembeats! An African drumming group in West London offering an introduction to djembe drumming and traditional West African rhythms. Students will develop a command of different djembe drumming techniques, discover the meaning and language of the rhythms, learn improvisational skills and most importantly have fun in a relaxed and energising African drumming group. As well as our weekly classes, we also organise a regular programme of special events, including jam sessions, performance opportunities and trips to concerts and festivals.

During the summer months (May to August), we practice Brazilian rhythms on the Timbal so that we can join our sister group Tribo for a summer of drum and fun. See .
