This is a light meetup for Africans who are involved or interested in Artificial Intelligence. Come and meet researchers, students and other AI enthusiasts; discuss your work/projects, and brainstorm about how AI can be applied to solve problems on the continent.

7:15pm Speaker (Ayodeji Akiwowo, PhD)

Ayodeji Akiwowo, is a data scientist at Elastacloud, a cloud consulting company with offices in London and Derby. They work with a wide range of clients in the aviation, retail, and other industries. He has over 3 years post PhD experience in the academia and he has only moved to the industry. His PhD research was an inter-university/industry collaboration which worked on detection of contraband at UK borders using Bayesian algorithm.
