Centennial Cone Park After Work Hike & Dinner

http://photos1.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/4/5/e/3/event_35837891.jpegCentennial Cone Park, about 25 minutes west of Golden, has varied scenery and probably lots wildflowers this time of year. We'll do a section of the Travois Trail and Evening Sun Loop Trail. The hike will be roughly 4 miles and with about 650' of elevation gain. After the hike, those interested will go to The Spot Bar & Grill (http://www.goldenspotbarandgrill.com/) for dinner/drinks.

NOTE: To give more people a chance to get on this hike, everyone interested will register for the wait list, and then after a few days I will randomly select people from the wait list to go on the hike (subject to some conditions—see Policy on Registering for Hikes (http://files.meetup.com/1509766/Policy%20on%20Registering%20for%20Hikes.pdf)). Those selected from the wait list will receive an email from Meetup notifying them. Your order on the wait list will not matter, so you have a few days to register (approx. two or three days) before I fill the roster, and you will not need to rush to register for this event. I may still advance people from the wait list later if enough people cancel. Please read this event listing in full before registering.

In particular, be sure to bring rain gear. Dogs are welcome on this hike, but they must be on a leash and you must pick up after them. Afternoon thunderstorms are common this time of year, but they usually clear up by hike time. ***NOTE: The Spot is in a strip mall at the southeast corner of C93 and Washington Ave. The Spot’s website says their address is on N. Rubey Dr., but when I pull it up on Google Maps or MapQuest, it does not include the “N.”—it’s just Rubey Dr, and 111 N. Rubey Dr. takes me a block south of the correct place.
