Hello After Work Hikers,

Some of you may not be aware of the Colorado Mountain Club (CMC). If you are not already a CMC member and like to do day hikes in the mountains, you should consider joining the CMC ( and and taking some of the classes it offers. The CMC offers two classes in particular which are basically introductions to hiking in Colorado: Wilderness Trekking School (WTS), offered each Spring and Fall, and Backpacking School, offered each fall. The next WTS session starts soon, so you might consider taking it if you would like to learn more about hiking in the Colorado mountains--it's not too late to register. Below is the course description. Feel free to email me if you have any questions.
