After Work Racket, Episode 1: Frankfurt

Details
The first edition of After Work Racket will take place in Frankfurt!
The goal of the first meeting is to find out who's out there interested in Racket and/or language-oriented programming, useful tips & tricks for Racket hacking, problems & obstacles, neat libraries. Two talks are scheduled so far:
- Paulo Matos, Linki Tools: "Full-time high performance Racket"
Abstract: Not many people have decided to take on Racket programming yet. Of those, not many do it full-time and of those who do, not many do it in a commercial setting for a project with high performance requirements. I will discuss the reasons why I am doing it, the challenges I faced and my current results.
- Jesse Alama, Vicampo: "How I made a #lang out of rage"
Abstract: In my day job as a web developer, I sometimes work on a JSON-based HTTP API. Frustrated with the limitations of the available tools, I made a Racket #lang to make black box testing of this API more pleasant for myself and my teammates. (Anything that reduces the friction of software testing is probably a win!)
If you're interested in presenting something, please let the organizer know.
Kindly hosted by ioki.
Transportation: U-Bahn Alte Oper, S-Bahn Taunusanlage. Parking is available around the Alte Oper in the block next to ioki.
