What is Open Space?

The OPEN SPACE TECHNOLOGY (https://openspaceworld.org/wp2/what-is/) is an approach for hosting meetings, conferences, corporate-style retreats and community summit events focused on a specific and important purpose or task, but beginning without any formal agenda, beyond the overall purpose or theme.

It means that the agenda of the event or the topics that will be discussed are not proposed by the organizers but may emerge from the participants and their own interests concerning the theme.

It is guided by 4 principles and 1 simple rule as follows:

4 PRINCIPLES:

• WHOEVER comes are the right people;
• WHENEVER it starts is the right time;
• WHEN it is over, it is over; and
• WHATEVER happens is the only thing that could have.

1 RULE:

• The Law of Two Feet: If at any time you find yourself in a place that you are neither LEARNING nor CONTRIBUTING you are responsible for using your two feet and moving to another... Well, in this case, using your two fingers and your mouse ;)
