We help each other improve our work by teaching each other what we've learned through practice.

More Awareness, More AgilityDear Agile Humans, this is our 60th meetup! We are so grateful for your love and support, so we’ve prepared a real treat for you this time. Enter the powerful synergy between mindfulness and Agile methodology, a dynamic partnership that holds the potential to revolutionise how we approach work and life.
In a complex, frantic, and often unpredictable world, business agility is a must-have for most companies. However, there is no single recipe for this tempting sweet. So, the journey soon gets tricky, misunderstandings easily arise, and people are challenged in unexpected ways. Traditional approaches prove to be prone to failing or delivering far less than expected.
To gain business agility, we consider two key elements: organisational development, based on an agile approach, and consciousness growth, based on mindfulness and personal development. Moreover, they should walk hand in hand. Business, technology, organisation and people departments can collaborate more profoundly. In fact, observing closer, it emerges that "agile calls for consciousness" as well as "mindfulness asks for agility".
Mindfulness, at its core, is the practice of cultivating present-moment awareness without judgment. It encourages individuals to fully engage with their thoughts, feelings, and surroundings, fostering a heightened sense of clarity and presence. This mental state provides the foundation for a variety of personal and professional benefits.
Together with Marco Massarotto, our guest speaker and an exceptional Agile Coach with 14 years of experience, we propose the mindfulness-agile synergy for business agility. This is a more integral approach to change, with respect to the traditional ones and the attempts based on just adopting new organisational styles or just reinventing leadership.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Marco Massarotto is a Ph.D. engineer with a humanist attitude. He is an Agile Coach and a Mindfulness Trainer with 14 years of experience in the lean/agile paradigm in different roles (COO, Agile Project Manager, Product Owner, Scrum Master). He has been advising many teams, ranging over software development and other topics like outsourcing, marketing, and finance, in several business areas (Internet, utilities, bank, insurance, etc.), and has successfully trained more than 300 people. He has a systematic approach and an end-to-end vision, helping cross-functional teams reach their goals while sustaining his humanistic approach.
