Practice Scrum framework and iterative product development while playing the ScrumTale game!

During this meetup, Agile Coach Przemek Witka will engage you in the creative process of writing a “crime story” in a Scrum simulation game called ScrumTale. The game is built upon collaborative story writing concepts to simulate iterative product development. Initially designed for IT companies, it is becoming more and more popular among all sorts of companies and industries interested in learning and practicing agile ways of working.

Engagement level grows from “Product Vision Meeting” when your team needs to decide who the “murderer” is, what is the “motive for crime” and how detective Olivia Larson gets to solve the “mystery”. Your crime stories will keep you involved, energized, and focused till the very end of the simulation, which makes the learning process more effective.

A “crime story” is the perfect "product" to be used in the Scrum simulation game because there are multiple similarities between software development and collaborative story writing.

You will learn how to use ScrumTale simulation for different learning objectives, and will be practicing:

  • How to use all the elements of the Scrum framework: roles, events, and artefacts
  • How to use the Agile approach to product development
  • How to self-organize under time pressure

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Przemek Witka is an Agile Coach, System Thinker, and humanist, fascinated by self-organization and human systems. Author of the ScrumTale Game.
He has MBA grade and experience with large companies and startups, including his own. For many years, he had worked in a complex R&D environment for Intel. Currently, supporting agile transformation at Dynatrace, where he has a unique opportunity to verify Agile on a large scale and in a very demanding environment.
He is also a trainer in AgileBrains.pl and author of the best Agile learning platform - Scrumtale.
