Agile Knoxville is a collective of people who want to learn from each other and participate in the process by sharing what they know about agile experiences and best practices. We share ideas, practice new techniques, and learn about Scrum, Kanban, retrospectives, user stories, demos and reviews, daily scrums/stand-ups, planning, and other topics relevant to Agile teams. During our meetups, we have talks, open discussions, games and exercises that help us make work more enjoyable, productive, and fulfilling.
We are a work in progress and we seek to embody the principles of Agile by creating a space for others to share, participate, and as a group create what Agile Knoxville is. Join the meetup to experience it for yourself. We meet every month, typically during the fourth week of the month. We would love to hear from you and what you want the group to be.
Traditional definitions of leadership emphasize position, formal authority, power, vision, and heroics. Those definitions might have been sufficient in another time. Organizations that need to respond to a fast-changing environment and desire continuous improvement require a different kind of leadership and a different kind of leader. Join us as we explore ways to lead knowledge workers. Participants will design a leadership experiment to try in their workplace.
