Key ingredients of high-performing teams + IT's role in value creation
Details
At our June Agile Managers and Leaders meetup, we will be delighted to welcome our guest speaker, Stephen Morris, Director of Open Square and winner in the 'Most Influential Business Leader' category at the 2016 UK Agile Awards, who will speak on the topic of 'Key ingredients of high performing, motivated IT teams.'
There’s a massive difference between teams that rock and those that just bomb. Not only do the teams that rock deliver some phenomenal, off-the-page results, they are a joy to work with and be part of. These teams act like magnets for more amazing people, deliver remarkable value for customers and inspire action in others. Stephen will cover some of the key leadership behaviours that make teams rock, something that’s going to be more essential as the fourth industrial revolution bites.
Continuing with the Business Agility theme from our last meetup, we will also be pleased to welcome Stan Wade and Andy Boyle, Senior Consultants from IndigoBlue, who will lead us through an interactive session demonstrating how you can realign the business/technology partnership and avoid building products that nobody wants.
IT used to be seen as a service, a supplier to the business. However, in the most successful companies, IT now functions as an enabling and equal partner – sharing with the business a common focus on value creation and a common language for collaboration.
Stan and Andy will guide you through a variety of tools and canvases that you can use to align the Business/IT partnership in its quest for customer value.
There will be ample time for networking and to ask Stephen, Stan and Andy questions.
Pre-meetup pizza and drinks will be served from 6:00pm.
