Start With Why by Simon Sinek Book Club Discussion

Please join us for the inaugural meeting of our Agile Leadership Book Club! As we are starting off, I thought it would be appropriate to kick off by sharing a fantastic foundational book, Start With Why: How Great Leaders Inspire Everyone to Take Action.

Looking for some inspiration? This is the book! Simon Sinek wrote this in 2009 to help people become more inspired at work, and in turn inspire others. He starts with a fundamental question “Why are some people and organizations more innovative, more influential and more profitable than others?“ and then leads us down a path of insight and powerful ideas.

I find this book is applicable across the spectrum of life, personally, professionally, in my agile team. I’d love to hear what each of you learn, what thoughts, reflections and realizations you may have as you dive into this book, and maybe even how it can help you become a better leader. During our virtual meeting, we can discuss these types of topics and more!

Please take some time prior to this meeting to acquire and read or listen to this book, so we can have interactive and fun discussions. This first meeting will just be one hour long. As our group matures we can inspect and adapt to decide what works, what doesn’t, if we like longer meetings, and refine our format. Join us now, and help us become the book club that you enjoy and help it become what you want or need for agile and leadership inspiration.
