Exploring the Agile Coaching Report & the professionalisation of agile coaching

In 2010, Lyssa Atkins published a book called 'Coaching Agile Teams' and helped create an industry of 'agile coaching'. A simple LinkedIn search shows thousands of people who claim to be agile coaches, and dozens of certifications and self proclaimed experts.

Whilst there is massive growth, there still isn't really a lot of clarity (nor agreement) on what agile coaches do nor on the 'value agile coaches can provide to organisations, and the associated knowledge, expertise, and skills necessary to achieve that value.'

Wouldn't it be great if research was done on the 'State of Agile Coaching' to help tell us more about the people in the industry?

Luckily the Business Agility Institute, Scum Alliance and ICAgile have partnered together to do this research.

Tonight we will hear from one of the authors, Evan Leybourn and will pummel him with questions, looking for insights about:

  1. the profession
  2. what the data says it takes to be an agile coach
  3. measuring the impact of agile coaching, from both a 'hiring organisation' and 'agile coaching careerist'
  4. what the skills the professions need as we move from team based agile to agility

Join us for what promises to be a fascinating discussion as we move from opinions to facts...

At this stage - the event is likely to be online or hybrid. However it will be confirmed closer to the date.
