Steve Tooke hosts a Global Day of Code Retreat (Whole day, Saturday Nov 17)

A bonus ASC event in November, especially of interest if you want to stretch your code design skills...

What if, just for a day, instead of rushing to the first solution that you can find you had the time to explore and choose between different options? Ironically Steve Tooke will put us under such intense time pressure that there will be no expectation that we can solve his coding challenge - instead we'll take the chance to try out different approaches, pairing up to learn and experiment with Behaviour Driven Design (BDD) principles.

Steve Tooke of cucumber.io is a programmer, consultant, and teacher specialising in BDD, and is facilitating this free 1 day event in Whiteley near Southampton and Portsmouth in Hampshire.

Because we will ask everyone to pair with different people during the day you can expect to work in a language you might not have used before, but you should be proficient in at least one programming language. We will focus very much on design - particularly the 4 rules of simple design from XP.
