Allstate is transforming its software engineering community towards a different way to think, act and to deliver value to customers. This transformation, centered on a feedback-driven, user-centric, "no bounds" culture, is called CompoZed and it's happening right here in the Queen City!
Join us for an Agile in Action Field Report on Julie Clayton's two-year journey of launching Allstate's Charlotte-based CompoZed Agile development lab and leading cross-functional teams into a zone of elevated innovation, productivity, and performance.
In this casual and informal session, you'll gain insights into:
- the 3 vital "legs" of the Compozed lab
- support roles in place to ensure success in transformation
- what healthy co-existence within "waterfall" environment looks like
- milestones, challenges, and triumphs along the way

About the Presenter
Julie Clayton directs the Charlotte CompoZed development lab for Allstate Technology, where she guides teams in delighting customers with awesome products built with Scrum and XP development practices. Clayton began her 16-year (and still growing!) career at Allstate as engineer in Infrastructure Services which led to leadership opportunities on multiple server and middleware platforms. Currently a senior manager, Clayton leads multiple XP product portfolios servicing client computing, network management and ITSM services. Clayton holds a Degree in Computer Science from DePauw University.
