Abstract:
Do you feel like your Agile Retrospective is only tackling low hanging fruit and missing out on reflection and real improvements? Have you ever wondered if in your retro you’re dealing with clear, complicated or complex issues? In this 30 minutes session I’ll share the way I’ve tackled that using concepts from Cognitive Edge’s Cynefin and the Derby/Larsen 5 steps Retrospective framework.

I'll share information about:
• the sense making framework Cynefin
• the 5 steps Derby/Larsen
• an activity to enhance transitions from gathering data to generating insights so that the team decides what to do after an informed sense making.

After this session you'll be able to see Agile Retrospectives from a different angle and you will have a concrete activity to try in your next Retrospective.

Speaker:
Enrico Teotti is an agile coach and (visual) facilitator with a background in product management and software development starting in 2001. He worked and lived in Europe (6 years), Australia (7 years), and the US (6 years).
As a visual thinker, if Enrico is not looking in the camera he’s probably sketching the conversation–lately on his iPad. He thinks agile is not a recipe to follow but something to tailor to your complex context. He likes to prepare facilitated sessions that are purposeful and meaningful to the group. Staying clear of any certification, he attended Cognitive Edge Cynefin Foundations and ICA ORID facilitation training and he’s a member of IAF (International Association of Facilitators).
