Arber Pllana from Unruly (http://www.unrulymedia.com/) and Anna Gevorgyan from hotels.com (http://uk.hotels.com/) are coming to Agile Practitioners!
Speaker 1: Arber Pllana
Arber Pllana is the EMEA Product Manager at Unruly, global leaders in social video and dedicated to Agile principles since its startup days in 2006. Arber has a cross-functional background that spans Operations, Product Support and Product Management. He's seen Unruly through a period of rapid growth from a team of just 30 to 130, now spanning a globally distributed network across 12 offices.
"We've been applying eXtreme Programming (XP) from the start and that's still a core part of how we develop our software products. As our company and customer base has grown, we've had to figure out how to shape user stories and form strategic roadmaps with stakeholders spread across US and Europe. Our Product Development team has grown so we can continue to develop innovative new product offerings with rich user-experience built on the foundations of paired programming, TDD and shared ownership."
Speaker 2: Anna Gevorgyan
Stop "doing agile" and do something useful for your company!
An outlook on major pitfalls in an agile transformation and why "common sense" is not going to solve your problems. Some of the points covered will include:
• Common traps in an agile transformation
• Agile training: miracle or nightmare?
• What makes or breaks your success with agile
All points discussed will be based on Anna’s experience of working with various companies over the years.
Anna has been working with teams and processes across technology companies of various calibres over the past 10 years.
She is passionate about achieving excellence at all levels within an organisation. It is this passion that has led her into running various transition programmes as well as establishing processes and initiatives that span across companies as a whole (as opposed to technology departments alone).
Anna is a strong advocate of continuous improvement as well as measurable and demonstrable results. She is currently helping product delivery teams across various companies within Expedia Inc group to improve and “be more awesome”.
