The Agile Manager

Details

I am a Manager who has dedicated my life to the organization in achieving its goal. I worked for 12-14 hours per day, including weekend. For me, my organization and customers are above everything. I run my project as my own business and keep a watch on the P&L statement. Please do understand that the reason I am a Manager is because I am really good in what I do. I have been promoted by my organization because of my hard work.

Now a days, I am hearing a lot about Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Self-organizing teams etc. However, in my organization, I am still responsible for the delivery, budget and scope of the project. My organization still expect me to manage the end-to-end delivery of the assigned project. My team members still look at me for solving each and every problem. My customer is still more comfortable with me and doesn’t want to talk to the team.

Please understand that I am also a human being and I am not too bad towards other humans including my team members, customers and leadership team. I have too much work, no family time. I wish my team members take up some of my work load. I am always on client call or escalation call; I wish my customers have a direct contact with my team members. There is too much dependency on me, I wish my organization look at my work schedule.

I would like to learn about the new ways of working including Scrum, Kanban etc. I also want to be Agile. I really need help.

Is there a way the Agile community can help me in improving my life and ways of working?

We are charging a fee of 200 INR + taxes and as with our other meetups the amount collected will go to charity. Here is the registration link -
