Coaching Teams to Grow using Kata
public group

Details
Many coaches who work with teams start by helping them establish goals. Afterwards, they coach the teams on how to experimentally achieve these goals.
Apart from the frameworks and their mechanics, organizations have to grow. This can happen if they organize in a way that empowers teams to experimentally achieve goals.
Meaning, coaching teams in their journey to realize meaningful goals can be key significant contribution from a coach.
I facilitated this session at Path to Agility conference in May 2019, and I would be happy to facilitate it again.
Learning objectives from this hands-on activity:
- Learn Kata Thinking Pattern(KTP).
- Learn a manager-championed approach for Agile Transformation based on KTP while guided by a model.
- Hands-on practicing with various elements of the KTP approach for transformation.
- Learn how managers can coach their teams to experiment as the way of delivery and doing the work.
- Hands-on practicing to experimentally resolve obstacles in the way of change.
Many thanks to Spark for hosting us at their location in Sterling Heights.
