What we're about

This group is open to IIBA members as well as non-members in the Auckland region, interested in knowledge sharing around the profession of Business Analysis and mingling with fellow Analysts.

Please Note: Some of our events are for Members only. If you would like to join us for all of our events please consider joining the IIBA (http://www.iiba.org/Membership.aspx).

Please read below before you join this Meetup group:

1) Membership requests are subject to approval by the Event Committee.

2) We kindly ask you to confirm you have added the correct details on your Meetup profile to help us manage the growing number of members across many events we host each year. If you haven't already, please provide your FULL REAL NAME (preferred name + SURNAME) in your general Meetup profile. Ideally it should be the same as in your LinkedIn profile. Please keep your surname there for as long as you are willing to attend our events. The requirement of a full name is in place for identifying attendees for security and attendance purposes as we hold our events in corporate buildings around Auckland. We also use attendance lists from Meetup to confirm PDU/CDU indications our members make for certification purposes. If you have privacy concerns and don't want members of your other groups to see your full name, the alternative option is to open a separate Meetup account and use it for professional networking groups like ours.

3) Answer all questions you will be asked during the process of joining the group. Provide your IIBA ID if applicable.

4) In future keep your IIBA membership status and member ID in your profile for this group up to date.

Theory Of Constraints – Introduction and Application

Needs a location

IIBA Auckland is back with our “In Person” events!
We are pleased to invite our group members to an interactive presentation -- An introduction to the Theory of Constraints (ToC) and its application in Flow, Planning and Thinking where we will cover the following topics:
- An overview of ToC
- Using ToC to balance flow
- Using ToC to develop a plan
- Using ToC to clarify our thinking

About the speaker:
Jits Doolabh is always searching for better ways to do things. He believes that we shouldn’t simply accept things as they are but question what we are being told and to find our own truth. His search for a better way led him to Systems Thinking and the Theory of Constraints (ToC).
Jits works in the IT arena and has experience across both Development and Operations. He is equally at ease at applying Kanban and ToC to either a dev environment or an ops environment.
Jits has a Masters in Engineering and holds Kanban, DevOps and Agile certifications up to instructor level. He also holds a Jonah certification from the TOCICO and earned a graduate certificate in constraints management from Washington State University.

About the event:
This is an open event. Sponsored by Infuse Recruitment. Please make sure that you have provided your full preferred name in your Meetup profile and join the waitlist. It will be processed manually but we will try to admit everyone. Preference will be given to IIBA members.
