Free-play mode: Celebrating VR in Northeast Ohio

Join us for a night of VR exploration and fun! In the spirit of supporting our local VR/AR development community, New Territory in downtown Akron will switch to "free-play" mode all evening to bring enthusiasts together and celebrate the current immersive technology scene in Northeast Ohio.

We'll begin with introductions and if anyone is currently working on any projects related to VR/AR, we'd love to hear about it. And if you have a project you'd like to have shown at the arcade, please send the organizer a message.

We'll also have a local developer discussing their recent experience of creating and launching a VR product: VR Robotics Simulator on Steam. You will be able to get some hands-on inside the simulator and play with robots in real time!

There will be three Vive systems set up for people to use!

To get to New Territory's headquarters in Bounce (the former Akron Global Business Accelerator), once you are on Main Street you will pass under a bridge that connects to the GOJO building on your left. After the bridge, you will turn right at the stoplight down the alley. Park in any visitor parking spots. Head in through the entrance under the blue awning and take the elevator to the 6th floor to space 607C.
