Program night
Our member, Tom Debley, will discuss “Photo Editing on the Fly.” He will cover Adobe Photoshop Express for editing on iPhone, iPad, and Android devices with a free downloadable app. Use with either phone photos or quick Wi-Fi transfers from your camera. Crop, straighten, rotate, fix, etc. in the palm of your hand. Tom will also cover two other downloadable apps: Prisma (free and low cost) and Sketch Prisma which is a photo-editing app that creates photo effects, transforming photos into drawings and paintings. Sketch will turn a photo into line art.

What we're about

Joining the Alameda Photographic Society is a great way to have your photos evaluated on a monthly basis by outside professionals. Also, we sponsor monthly educational sessions and periodic field trips to places of photographic interest.

The purpose of the Alameda Photographic Society is: to promote the art and science of photography in its various forms through the association of its members for study and entertainment; to encourage photographic contests and exhibitions; and to stimulate greater interest and advancement in the knowledge and practice of photography.

Visitors are always welcome at our meetings. We meet semi-monthly on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m. at 2441 San Jose Ave. in Alameda, CA (with the exception of December and the second Tuesday in July). Look for the side door on the Church. More information can be found about our club on its website,

Competition nights are on 2nd Tuesdays. Program nights are on the 4th Tuesdays.
